HOPEKIDS MIDDLE TN CHARITY GOLF CLASSIC RAISES $80K

HopeKids Middle Tennessee and The Grove, event host and presenting sponsor, are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Charity Golf Classic raised more than $80,000 for the organization.

The mission of HopeKids is to provide an ongoing calendar of free events, activities, and a powerful, unique support community for families who have a child with cancer or other life-threatening medical conditions. This hugely successful event, held on August 30th, is the largest fundraiser for the newest HopeKids chapter that launched in 2019.

This year’s tournament was held at The Grove Golf in College Grove, a private club community, where a capacity field of 120 golfers participated. Special guest and former NFL wide receiver Eric Decker, was joined by Josh Taylor, national president of HopeKids – along with other notable supporters. HopeKids parents Dustin Pack and Meagan Glover each shared their own family’s story with golfers, and the value HopeKids provides by connecting families to others on a similar journey.

Trace Construction provided generous support as the Title Sponsor for the Golf Classic, with The Grove serving as the event host and Presenting Sponsor. Ben Jenkins provided leadership as tournament director and is also a State Board member of HopeKids Middle Tennessee. Top-tier sponsors included: BORO Nissan, U.S. Bank, Puryear Newman & Morton, Lehman Title & Escrow, Hatcliff Construction, Legend Homes, and Wheeler State Farm Agency.

The successful online auction featured several items of celebrity signed memorabilia, a private songwriter night with Neil Thrasher and Kelley Lovelace, wine loft experience at Arrington Vineyards, Jessie James Decker concert package, Titleist TS2 Driver, golf foursomes, Judith Hill photo session, Kendra Scott jewelry, and a variety of gift certificates donated by local businesses.

On-course contests featured Chelsea Kinard, LPGA with Beat the Pro, Kyle Blakely, PGA with Drive for Show, Nelson Mazda’s Hole-in-One and Par-3 contests; and Jude Lenahan from The Grove hosted a Swing Analysis Clinic before the round.
