Franklin Art Scene
On the first Friday of each month, the Downtown Franklin Association holds a free art crawl through downtown Franklin’s historic buildings. All forms of art can be found throughout the galleries, everything from blown glass to turned wood can be seen. Complimentary refreshments are served by many of the galleries and some galleries even offer live music. Come down and see this wonderful showcase of Williamson County’s local artistry, the first Friday of every month starting at 6pm. To find out more, click here
Franklin on the Fourth
Come join Downtown Franklin’s annual Independence Day celebration where there will be food and fun all around. With music performers throughout the day, food vendors with everything from corn on the cob and BBQ to ice cream and corn dogs, and craft vendors selling handmade items there will be plenty of fun activities to do throughout the day. Even the kids will enjoy themselves with the Kid’s Zone that has inflatables, a petting zoo, and pony rides. The festival ends at 8 pm so you can make it to the Park at Harlinsdale Farm for the fireworks display. More information can be found by clicking here
Bluegrass Along the Harpeth
Bluegrass Along the Harpeth is a festival that showcases the local music traditions of times past. Live bluegrass music will be performed throughout the day while also featuring fiddling, buck dancing, crafts, food, and much more. This free festival is “on the square” in Franklin so grab your lawn chair and come out for a day filled with music and fun. Visit their Facebook page, here
