When school is out for summer, activities at The Grove are plentiful for kids of all ages! Discovery Club, Tennis and Golf offer camps and clinics to keep kids active and engaged, all while having fun.
DISCOVERY CLUB SUMMER CAMP
The Discovery Club Summer Camp offers kids (ages 5-12) a weekly day camp with activities to explore and grow, right in our community. Day camps are led by our trained counselors who guide campers through themed adventures in addition to activities such as golf, fitness classes, field trips, fishing, tennis, art, swimming, special guest appearances and more.
Camps are held each week, Monday – Friday (unless otherwise noted) from 9:00am – 4:00pm at the Sports Centre. Lunch and snacks are provided. Member registration is required by 9:00am on the day prior to attending. Themed Week examples:
Nature Week – Learn about all the amazing animals that live on our planet and their habitat.
Equestrian Week – Learn how to ride a horse and what goes into taking care of one!
Food Frenzy Week – Ever wonder how mom or dad learned to cook such great food? During Food Frenzy Week you will learn how to make some tasty treats!
Music Week – Explore your musical talents and learn what it takes to be a music star.
Under the Sea Week – Join us for a full week of camp to celebrate the summer with water games and so much more!
Explore the Arts Week – Let’s learn about the arts: performing, painting, crafting, and more.
Career Week – Let’s learn about different careers and some that you may consider our heroes!
Crazy Week – Join us on our last few days of camp to celebrate the summer with awards, fun and games, and even a pizza party!
GOLF SUMMER CAMPS
Junior golfers can enjoy the opportunity to improve their golf game during Junior GolfCamp. Camps are geared for two age groups,5–8-year-oldsand9–15-year-olds, each specifically designed to match the age and skill level. Camp will cover putting, chipping, bunkers, full swing, teamwork, and sportsmanship.In addition, the camp will provide opportunities for juniors to excel as long-term athletes by focusing on various fundamental sports skills, speed, agility, power, strength, & balance. There will be games, prizes, and more fun to build the love of the game
TENNIS SUMMER CAMPS
Junior tennis players, ages 5-13, are invited to join us for our weekly Swing & Swim camps this Summer. During Swing time, players will learn all aspects of the game including strokes, scoring, sportsmanship, tennis-focused games, as well as singles and doubles match play. Summer is hot, so each camp day will end with a bit of supervised Swim time.
