- 5K Franklin Jingle Bell Fun Run/ Walk – December, 5th
Meet up in The Square in Historic Downtown Franklin for the 5K Franklin Jingle Bell Run aimed to fight arthritis, the number one cause of disability in the U.S. Come chase Santa while you support a great cause, spread some holiday cheer, and win some prizes! Costumes and dogs are encouraged!
- Franklin Christmas Parade – December 5th
Festive floats, Christmas carols, and did we mention SANTA?! This event is a Franklin Holiday tradition sure to fill you with all the joy and nostalgia that the holidays have to offer. This is a perfect event to share with the whole family; the parade starts at 10 A.M., so don’t be late! (Santa will know!)
- Melinda Doolittle Christmas Show – December, 11th
Melinda Doolittle comes to The Franklin Theatre to deliver a holiday performance guaranteed to warm your heart and move your feet. You may recognize Melinda from the sixth season of American Idol where she came in third place after becoming Simon Cowell’s “personal favorite.”Melinda has also received numerous awards and praise from publications such as the New York Times, and People Magazine who stated, “Her voice is a slinky purr then a mighty growl that will keep you coming back for more.” Tickets range from $30.00 to $40.00 and doors are at 7:00 PM, Make sure you get your tickets soon!
- Dickens of a Christmas –December, 12th-13th
The Heritage Foundation presents the annual Dickens of a Christmas celebration. Take a step back in time and enjoy the holidays Victorian style with some of your favorite Dickens’ characters like, Tiny Tim Cratchit, and Ebenezer Scrooge! The streets will be filled with vendors, musical performances, and even Mother Christmas! So come out and celebrate Christmas—Charles Dickens style.
