Elaine Pearce is now Assistant Golf Professional at The Grove

The Grove Golf Staff is excited to announce the addition of Elaine Pearce to the team. Most of our membership may know Elaine as the friendly face behind the bar in the Manor House, but what you probably don’t know is that she comes from a long line of Tennessee golfers. Elaine came to The Grove by way of Knoxville in 2015 where she left the corporate business world to follow her passion for craft cocktail mixology and bartending in a setting that has always felt like home.

Elaine’s father is the Head Golf Professional at Champions Run Golf Course in Eagleville, TN. Her Great-Grandfather, Harold Eller, was the Head Golf Professional at Old Hickory Country Club for the better part of 30 years. The Eller family is considered by many to be the “first family of Tennessee golf”. Elaine’s Grandmother, Beverly Eller Pearce, and her sister, Judy Eller have both been inducted into the Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame for their accomplishments in amateur golf. Elaine’s Mother, Connie Pearce, has helped run the Tennessee Golf Foundation and curated the Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame for 25 years.

While Elaine was a student at Middle Tennessee State University, she worked extensively for TN Junior Golf, the Ladies’ division of the TN Golf Association, and the TN Golf Foundation. These organizations are all based at the Golf House Tennessee in Franklin. Elaine graduated in 2009 from MTSU with a BBA in Business Management.

Elaine is excited to bring the PGA Junior League to the Grove. The PGA Junior League is open to all of our junior members’ ages 9-13 who would like to compete against neighboring clubs on our official Grove team. She is also excited to be kicking off regular Ladies’ Play Days throughout the season. She has set dates for Ladies and Junior clinics for the 2016 season and will be sending out more information about these events as they approach.

Elaine assists our Professional staff with all Golf Operations and Golf Services. Elaine is responsible for the organization, scheduling, and promotion of our Ladies’ Play Days, Ladies’ Golf events, as well as our Couples’ golf events. In addition, she is responsible for organizing and managing our Junior Golf programs at the Grove.

We also have the PGA Junior League to the Grove. The PGA Junior League is a fun way for our junior golfers ages 9-13 to participate in team-style matches against other local clubs, all while learning more about golf. The PGA Junior League will be a great way for everyone to get involved and get to know each other this summer. “I am really looking forward to meeting all of our young members who want to learn more about the game of golf,” says Elaine.

You will find dates for our clinics, couples and junior events listed on the master calendar on our website and our daily “Today at the Grove” emails.
