Inside Life At The Grove

Amy Tharrington · 12:03 pm ·

Some places impress you. Others change how you live.

At The Grove in College Grove, Tennessee, private club living is not an amenity layered on top of a neighborhood; it is the foundation upon which the entire community is built. Here, luxury is measured not by excess, but by intention, rhythm, and longevity. Living at The Grove offers something increasingly rare near Nashville: a private club lifestyle that feels elevated and exclusive, while still relaxed enough to feel like home.

Located in Williamson County, just south of Franklin and within easy reach of Brentwood and Nashville, The Grove blends scenic landscapes, thoughtful architecture, and private club amenities into a community designed for connection.

A Lifestyle Designed Into the Everyday

At The Grove, experiences are not destinations you schedule around. They are woven seamlessly into daily life.

Wellness, recreation, dining, and social opportunities exist as a quiet constant, present when you want them, unobtrusive when you don’t. This thoughtful integration allows residents to engage deeply without feeling overscheduled or overwhelmed. The club enhances life rather than competing with it.

While the championship golf course is a major draw, daily life here doesn’t revolve solely around tee times. Residents enjoy a broader lifestyle that supports wellness, recreation, dining, and community, without feeling like life is scheduled around events. On any given day, you’ll see residents enjoying:

Walking trails and open green space

      Wellness, fitness, and outdoor recreation

Dining at the Manor House and gathering spaces

      Family-friendly amenities and seasonal programming

Informal social moments that happen naturally

Privacy Without Isolation

Homes at The Grove are crafted as enduring personal retreats, defined by architectural character, thoughtful livability, and an attention to detail that rewards daily life. Luxury move-in ready homes reflect an artisan approach, with well-appointed interiors, the finest finishes, and floor plans designed to feel both refined and effortlessly livable.

Outdoor living spaces extend the home beyond its walls, creating natural settings for gathering, quiet moments, and connection to the landscape. Each residence balances beauty and function, offering comfort that feels considered rather than curated.

Beyond the home, shared spaces are intentionally designed to foster connection without obligation. Residents enjoy the confidence of controlled access, a strong sense of security, and gathering places that feel natural rather than performative. It is a rare balance of privacy and belonging.

Quality Over Excess

The Grove prioritizes what endures. Rather than chasing novelty, the private club environment is shaped by restraint and long-term vision. Architecture, landscape, and amenities are guided by a consistent philosophy, one that values timeless design, thoughtful stewardship, and relevance across every stage of life.

This is not a lifestyle built to impress in the moment. It is built to remain meaningful over time.

A Quietly Exceptional Setting

The Grove offers rare proximity to Middle Tennessee’s most desirable cultural, dining, and professional destinations, while remaining distinctly removed from their pace.

One of the strongest lifestyle advantages of The Grove is its setting. Compared to Franklin, Brentwood, or central Nashville, the environment feels quieter and more private. Homes have room to breathe. The landscape feels open. The streets feel calm. Here, space is preserved. Time slows. Privacy is respected. Residents enjoy access without intrusion, connection without compromise.

The Grove remains conveniently located:

      Approximately 15 minutes to Franklin

Approximately 30–40 minutes to Downtown Nashville

Close to shopping, dining, and healthcare

Easy access to Williamson County destinations

     Close to top-ranking schools

For many residents, this is the ideal balance: close enough for convenience, far enough to feel like a retreat.

Private Club Living, Built For Connection

At its core, The Grove represents a different interpretation of luxury living, rooted in balance, discretion, and intentional design. This is private club living with longevity in mind.

Measured. Enduring. Unmistakably intentional.

Why the Community Feels Different

Many luxury developments offer amenities, but not all create a true sense of belonging. What sets The Grove apart is that it feels cohesive, like the community was designed with a long-term vision rather than short-term appeal. Several elements contribute to that feeling:

Thoughtful Planning: Homes, streetscapes, and open spaces feel intentionally placed. The community doesn’t feel random or pieced together.

Architectural Integrity: There’s a sense of design consistency without everything looking the same. The architecture feels rooted and enduring, giving the community a refined character over time.

Lifestyle Integration: Amenities aren’t simply “features.” They’re woven into daily life in a way that encourages connection without obligation.

The result is a community that feels livable, established, and quietly distinctive.

Who Tends to Love Living Here

The Grove attracts a variety of buyers, but there are some clear patterns among those who choose it. Residents often prioritize:

      Privacy and gated living

      Space and scenic surroundings

      Homes with architectural character

A private club lifestyle that supports wellness and recreation

A community feel without high density

It appeals to families who want an elevated, active lifestyle environment, and buyers relocating from higher-cost regions who value quality, planning, and long-term value.

Many describe The Grove as a place where luxury feels natural rather than staged.

Discover The Grove Fitness Programs

Amy Tharrington · 10:21 am ·

The New Year is the perfect time to reset, refocus, and recommit to movement that supports both performance and longevity.

At the Grove Club, fitness isn’t about extreme resolutions—it’s about building habits that enhance how you move, feel, and play. Strength training, mobility work, and cardiovascular conditioning are especially important during the winter months when golf, tennis, pickleball, and other outdoor activities may decrease. A well-rounded fitness routine now helps maintain muscle mass, protect joints, and improve balance, all of which translate directly to more power, consistency, and endurance when you return to the course, courts, or walking trails.

This month, we encourage members to focus on quality movement. Prioritizing proper warm-ups, flexibility, and core stability can reduce injury risk while improving swing efficiency and overall athleticism. Even two to three focused training sessions per week can make a meaningful difference.

Fitness Services offered at The Grove are designed to meet the training needs of all our members, from dedicated athletes to those simply looking to stay active. Through personal fitness training, nutrition plans, sports training and rehab, private or group instruction, our professional trainers can create a customized program based on your interests and individual needs.

Our fitness team is here to help tailor programs that align with your goals—whether that’s improving your golf performance, staying active through the winter, or simply feeling stronger and more energized in everyday life. January isn’t about doing more; it’s about doing what matters most, consistently.

CLASS SPOTLIGHT: Men’s Golf Stretch | This class is designed to help improve balance, reduce back pain, increase flexibility, and improve your golf swing, even adding more distance to your drive. Regular exercise has been proven to strengthen your heart, boost energy, and support both your health and golf game longevity. In short: live longer, play more golf!

WEEKLY GROUP FITNESS: Cardio Strength, TRX Total Body, Men’s Golf Stretch

At The Grove, wellness isn’t confined to four walls or a single definition of fitness. It’s a way of life designed to meet every member of the family where they are, whether that’s a morning walk, an afternoon match on the courts, a swim with the kids, or an evening round of golf with friends. By weaving together state-of-the-art fitness amenities with thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces, parks, and recreational offerings, The Grove creates opportunities for movement, connection, and balance every single day. This holistic approach reflects a simple yet powerful philosophy: when people of all ages have access to spaces that inspire activity and togetherness, healthy habits become natural, sustainable, and joyful. At The Grove, an active lifestyle is an invitation to live well, together.

Here’s to a healthier you in 2026!

Adventures for All Ages

Children found excitement in summer programs filled with creativity, exploration, and friendship, while teens had pool time and plenty of other outdoor fun. Adults savored their own brand of summertime enjoyment — from wine tastings to fitness classes, racquet sports, and live music nights. A favorite community tradition, our annual July 4th celebration, marked another record-breaking turnout, complete with live music, cookout, games, a golf cart parade, and a spectacular fireworks display.

A Season on the Greens

Golf was at the center of summer for many members, with events, tournaments, and clinics for all ages and skill levels. From our juniors just picking up their first set of clubs to seasoned golfers fine-tuning their game, the greens were alive with friendly competition and camaraderie. Instructional clinics for all ages also offered opportunities to learn from the pros, making golf at The Grove not just a sport, but a way to connect across generations. This year’s signature summer event was the Summer Derby Member-Guest event.

Poolside Fun & Family Favorites

Our pools were buzzing with activity all summer long, with daily relaxation poolside to kids’ camps, fishing at Angler’s Nest, and the summer classic—bike rides all day, every day! A highlight of the season was Dive-In Movie Night at the Bridge Bar, held under the stars with snacks, floats, and the perfect poolside setting. To round out the season, our Back-to-School Bash Foam Pool Party was the ultimate send-off to summer with music, foam cannons, and endless smiles from kids of all ages.

Culinary Experiences to Savor

Summer also introduced our new Cellar Series: Four-Course Dinner and Wine Experience. This intimate evening showcased the talents of our culinary team and perfectly paired wines, offering members a sophisticated night of flavor and friendship. It quickly became a must-attend for food and wine enthusiasts alike.

Gathering Spaces, Timeless Memories

The heart of The Grove lies in the connections we share: neighbors becoming friends, families sharing traditions, and new memories being made with every gathering.

This summer, our Back Porch Gatherings at The Manor House provided a welcoming space to relax with neighbors, share stories, and unwind in comfort. Throughout the summer, members also enjoyed Live Music Nights, featuring a selection of Nashville’s most talented singers and songwriters.

Looking Ahead

While we say goodbye to another magical summer, the spirit of The Grove carries on into the seasons ahead. With fall just around the corner, members can look forward to thoughtful programming, cozy gatherings, and more opportunities to celebrate community, friendship, and the unique lifestyle that makes The Grove so special.

Thank you for being part of another memorable summer at The Grove. As we look ahead to fall, more opportunities to connect, celebrate, and enjoy the one-of-a-kind Grove lifestyle are on the horizon. We can’t wait to see what’s next.

Ask The Pro

Amy Tharrington · 4:44 pm ·

Q 1: What is the procedure for when a player’s golf ball comes to rest on or against a moveable obstruction like a bunker rake, towel, spectator chair, etc.?

A: When a ball is in or on a movable obstruction anywhere on the course, free relief may be taken by lifting the ball, removing the moveable obstruction, and, except on the putting green, dropping that ball or another ball. The reference point for taking the relief is the estimated point under where the ball was at rest in or on the movable obstruction. The relief area is one club length from the reference point, is not nearer the hole than the reference point, and must be in the same area of the course as the reference point.

Q 2: When is practicing between holes allowed in a regular round or competition?

A: Rule 5.5b/1: A player is allowed to practice putting and chipping when he or she is between the play of two holes. This is when the player has completed play of the previous hole, or in the form of play involving a partner when the side has completed play of the previous hole.

Examples of when a player is between play of two holes (Match Play):

Single: When the player has holed out, his or her next stroke has been conceded, or the outcome of the hole has been determined.

Foursome: When the side has holed out, its next stroke has been conceded, or the outcome of the hole has been determined.

Four-Ball: When both partners have holed out, their next strokes have been conceded, or their outcome of the hole has been determined.

Examples of when a player is between play of two holes (Stroke Play):

Single: When a player has holed out.

Foursome: When the side has holed out.

Four-ball: When both partners have holed out, or one partner has holed out and the other cannot better the side’s score.

Franklin, Tennessee: Magical Fall Destination

Amy Tharrington · 12:37 pm ·

In the news again? We aren’t surprised! Our favorite small towns in Williamson County, Franklin, Leipers Fork, and Arrington, were the focus of a recent Southern Living Magazine article, ‘Franklin, Tennessee, Is a Magical Fall Destination.’ In Southern Living’s 2024 South’s Best Awards,  Franklin wound up the South’s second-best city on the rise in 2024.

The Best of the Best

Throughout the article, we are reminded of Franklin’s magic and all the kind words it has received from locals and visitors alike. The name “Franklin” is usually embellished with flattering descriptors such as “the prettiest,” “most charming,” “friendliest,” “most romantic,” a “Southern dream town,” and the “nicest place in the South.”

Most recently, Southern Living stated, “No longer just a weekend getaway from Nashville, Franklin has fully come into its own as a city, and it’s easy to see why. One of the main draws is the thriving downtown area, which comprises 16 blocks of preserved and restored buildings, like The Franklin Theatre, as well as locally-owned shops and restaurants.”

A Day in Town

Upon the first arrival to the quaint, 16-block historic downtown district, you’ll stroll upon Main Street and its array of small, local businesses occupying restored, historical gems such as The Franklin Theatre. Some of those timeless favorites received a well-deserved mention by Southern Living Magazine, including White’s Mercantile, Biscuit Love, and Landmark Booksellers. A few of our other favorites are the award-winning Merriddee’s Breadbasket (a can’t-miss breakfast and bakery) and Gray’s on Main. Gray’s is in one of the most historic buildings on Main Street, dating back to 1876, originally the Gray Drug Co. In addition to great local music and great food, we love the original elements that have been preserved throughout, like the hallway papered with original, handwritten prescriptions.

Natchez Scenic Drive Grove_fall-1 Trails_water-_autumn ManorHouseFall Autumn at The Grove

Miles and Acres of Beauty

Franklin, as well as throughout all of Middle Tennessee, is in no short supply of fall foliage this time of year. Southern Living suggests grabbing your walking stick and heading to some of the local’s favorite hiking paths, including Timberland Park or Preservation Park.

If you’re more in the mood for a scenic drive, the 444-mile National Scenic Byway of Natchez Trace Parkway is just minutes from The Grove. And don’t forget to have your camera ready when you approach the architectural masterpiece that is the Double Arch Bridge.

A Drive Outside Town

Close to Franklin is the quaint town of Leipers Fork, with antiques, art galleries, and more to discover. Also close by is Arrington, with its rolling countryside and 16 acres of grapes at the main attraction in the area, Arrington Vineyards. Listen to the advice of Southern Living and “purchase a flight of four types of wine and then enjoy it outside on the lush, green property, which is a perfect spot for picnicking.”

Discover Scenic Middle Tennessee

South Living says it best, “Whether you’re dreaming of a quiet cabin in the woods, antiquing in a quaint town, leaf-peeping on a hike, or finding fresh apple cider doughnuts at a farm stand, it doesn’t get much better than a weekend trip to Franklin in Middle Tennessee.”

The Grove, Williamson County’s premier private club community, located minutes from Franklin, shares the same wonders that Middle Tennessee offers; stunning vistas and views and limitless outdoor discovery and adventure opportunities are at your fingertips. We invite you to visit this magical fall destination and be sure to stop by The Grove to experience a community unlike any other. Magnificent homes, impeccable club services, activities and amenities for all ages and interests are just the beginning!
