Since its inception, The Rewards Program at The Grove has played a vital role in supporting young golfers on their journey to the PGA Tour. Based on research, relationships with college coaches, player talent, and academic performance; young golfers are invited annually to utilize The Grove course as their home base. Providing a place to sharpen their skills and support one another on their quest for a national ranking.
The Grove takes pride in each participant in the Rewards Program and to us, there is no better feeling than watching these young men and women accomplish the dreams that they have worked so hard to achieve.
Kent Bulle, A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, has been a participant in the rewards program at The Grove since 2013 and recently won a heated playoff to secure a repeat victory at the VISA Open de Argentina, played in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
This is no small feat, as Bulle will be the first winner of this event to receive an exemption that will allow him to tee it up during 146th British Open Championship at Royal Birkdale and the first reigning champion to defend his title at the VISA Open de Argentina since Angel Cabrera in 2002.
Along with qualifying for the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, Bulle also qualified for the U.S. Open at Oakmont this summer.
“Having played the U.S. Open this year, I’ve kind of seen that stage a little bit, “Kent told PGA.com, “I’m little more prepared than I was— I know The Open Championship will be a different feel than the U.S. Open, but I’m just excited to have that opportunity.”
We look forward to helping even more young golfers like Kent through our Rewards Program at The Grove and we will be keeping up with all of Kent Bulle’s successes as he continues down the path towards the PGA Tour.
