The second annual golf tournament has raised over $80k to support families that have a child with cancer or other life-threatening medical conditions. HopeKids is a nonprofit organization that provides aid for the entire family, through providing date nights for parents, creating a support system for siblings, and fun opportunities for the whole family.
The Golf Classic had 120 participants this year. HopeKids parents Dustin Pack and Meagan Glover each shared their story and the positive impact that HopeKids has had on their families. Eric Decker, former NFL wide receiver, appeared as a special guest, alongside the national president of HopeKids, Josh Taylor.
Several companies joined together to sponsor this event, such as: Trace Construction, BORO Nissan, and U.S. Bank, among others. Many celebrities provided donations to the online auction, such as signed memorabilia, a songwriter night was provided by Neil Thrasher and Kelly Lovelace, and Jessie James Decker donated a concert package, which all contributed to the success of the auction.
The winning team of this year’s tournament is Jeremy Stover, Nolan Ray, Taylor Hancock, and Trevor Tummins. With second place going to Travis Dumke, Fernando Mechereffe, Patrick LaBaugh, and David Roy. In third place, Brad Dixson, Adam Hughes, Clint Ing, and Barry Brewer.
