Early this June, we were honored to host the Tennessee launch of Retief Goosen’s own personal wine lineup. Retief ‘The Goose’ Goosen won the 2001 and 2004 US Open and in 2005 Goosen bought a small winery in South Africa and has been making his own wine ever since. His line ‘Fine Wines by The Goose’ has five varieties and will soon be available in local restaurants throughout Tennessee. While he was here he also played a round of golf with our very own Mark Enderle and resident homeowner John Frisk. The latter of the three won the round and Goosen stated “This is a beautiful country side, the course is tough but very well done”. Be sure to try Goosen’s line of fine wines at a restaurant near you, and if you don’t know which ones to try, sample Goosen’s two favorites, Sauvignon Blanc and the Shiraz.
