On May 15th, 2021, The Grove was proud to host over 400 participants and hundreds of spectators at the 6th Annual Honor the Fallen 5K, Memorial Mile, and GORUCK in support of Memories of Honor, a nonprofit organization that The Grove supports each year.
Memories of Honor specializes in gathering support for the ever-growing number of fallen veterans and the families they leave behind. The organization continues to raise awareness for veterans through various sports and special events. Thanks to the organization’s events, they are able to provide healthy outlets for PTSD, depression, and the survivors’ guilt that war often leaves behind.
Participants of the sold-out event had the option to attend the 5K virtually or in person, with the chance to honor the fallen and win one of the many exciting prizes awarded to the 1st Place Male and Female finishers of each division. Here at the Grove, we couldn’t be more honored to have the opportunity to give back to various community programs and organizations, like Memories of Honor. We look forward to hitting more benchmarks this year to benefit this powerful organization.
Congratulations to our many winners from each division, and thank you to the participants, organizations, spectators, and staff for helping create a wonderful environment to commemorate the fallen soldiers. We will continue to honor and remember the sacrifices made by our fallen heroes and their families. May we remember those who serve with a grateful heart.
