In 2016, Southern Living named Hatcliff Construction as a member of their Southern Living Custom Builder Program for the seventh year in a row. Members of this elite group of homebuilders excel at constructing homes that transcend the pages of the magazine into a dream home. When tasked with selecting a location to build the Showcase Home, The Grove immediately rose to the top of the list. “The Grove’s exclusivity was a huge factor in our selection; they are very particular about architects and builders that they use and we share those same standards when it comes to our designs and construction,” said Mary Hatcliff
Once the location was selected, it was time to get to work, and with a brand as prestigious as Southern Living, this was no minor undertaking. Some of the best minds in home innovation and design came together to make this a home a celebration of what we love most about life in the South, but more specifically, life at The Grove.

The home opened for touring on October 14th with proceeds benefiting two local charities: Operation Finally Home, an organization dedicated to building homes for wounded, ill or injured veterans, surviving spouses and their families, and The First Tee of Middle Tennessee, who promotes life skills and leadership through the game of golf.
In conjunction with the Southern Living Custom Builder Showcase Home, visitors who tour the home had the choice of attending one of the Southern-Inspired Seminars being hosted by the professionals behind our Showcase Home. The seminars ranged from lessons on Interior Design and Landscaping to food and wine pairings, and even an interactive demonstration of some of the technologies included in the state-of-the-art Showcase Home.
Tours of the home concluded on October 30th with hundreds of tickets sold and over $14,000 raised to support Operation Finally Home and The First Tee of Middle Tennessee.
