RoverWorks at The Grove

Did you know that over 56% of dogs and puppies entering shelters are euthanized every year? An estimated FOUR MILLION cats and dogs are euthanized every year. That’s approximately one death every eight seconds.

Together, The Grove and RoverWorks hope to raise money, build awareness, save lives, and make a difference.

RoverWorks is a nationwide charity event that gives pet lovers the opportunity to have their dog photographed by renowned photographer Andrew Grant and be featured in the next edition of the best-selling book Rover, a 500-page coffee table book that features photographs of dogs from across the country.

Rover first gained national attention when Ellen DeGeneres gave Oprah a copy of Rover during her Christmas show, and since then over one million dollars has been donated by pet advocates in order to have their dogs featured in Rover.

Rover is a timeless and heartwarming tribute to man’s best friend. Grant’s soulful images capture the many unique shapes and colors of man’s best friend as well as their diverse personalities in absolutely stunning detail.”

This unique program has generated donations of over one million dollars across the country, bridged relationships between deserving rescues and generous donors and inspired countless people to welcome a shelter pet into their home during the last six years.

Event Details

RoverWorks at The Grove will consist of two events: an adult’s only cocktail party on Saturday, March 18th and a family-friendly open casting call and festival on the 19th.

Cocktail Party—Saturday, March 18th

The cocktail party will give potential donors the opportunity to meet Rover Photographer Andrew Grant while enjoying live jazz music, food, cash bar, and a silent auction to benefit Agape Animal Rescue and Williamson County Animal Center. Andrew and representatives from each of these local charities will be in attendance to share their passion for rescuing animals and their organization’s needs. Reservations are required. Casting Call and Festival—Sunday, March 19th

The Open Casting Call and Festival is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the springtime air along with live music, local pet-inspired vendors, food and drinks in a family atmosphere. Come introduce your four-legged family members to Andrew, and share a compelling story, show off a trick or two, or just let that unique personality shine. Andrew will select 3 dogs from our casting call to be featured in the upcoming edition of Rover, that’s a $5,000 value for free!

If your dog is selected, a photography session with Andrew will be scheduled at The Grove between March 21st and 22nd but rest assured, if your dog is not selected you may still have your dog featured in Rover with a tax-deductible donation of $5,000 to one of the participating rescues. In addition to having your dog featured in Rover, you can sponsor a homeless dog to be included for an additional $1,000.

No need to bring your own dog to attend! Guests can peruse a selection of local vendors and artists ranging from dog illustrations, a mobile groomer, veterinarians, bakeries, handmade goods and more. There will also be a raffle drawing for fun prizes such as pet-friendly gift baskets and dinner for four at the Manor House, which will benefit Agape Animal Rescue and Williamson County Animal Center.
