Lauren Irick is from Knoxville, TN where she started playing tennis at age 5.
She played throughout Junior Tennis in State, Southern, and National level tournaments, and was on a 2-time state championship team at Webb School of Knoxville. As a teen, Lauren claimed the #1 ranking in singles and in doubles in Tennessee, top 40 in the south, and top 200 in the nation.
Lauren received a tennis scholarship in 2007 to Belmont University, where she graduated in 2011 with a degree in Exercise Science. She is USPTA certified and has been teaching tennis since 2007 where she began as director of tennis camp at Webb School of Knoxville. Since then, Lauren has been teaching tennis at Beaver Brook Country Club, the Maryland Farms YMCA, Centennial Sportsplex, and has worked with the USTA at a variety of junior developmental workshops and events. Lauren also loves working with the Buddy Up program in Murfreesboro, teaching tennis and fitness to kids and young adults with Downs Syndrome.
